Build the Future With Us

The Senior Manager, Capital for Just Futures (CJF) is responsible for implementing an innovative joint guaranteed income and cooperative business incubation initiative, while also developing a broader social movement investing and support ecosystem.

The Senior Manager will work closely with the Executive Director, the MJF DMV team, and partners at Beloved Community Incubator (BCI), with a primary focus on implementing Cooperative Futures: Our Work, Our Wealth, Our Future. This program is an 18-month cohort of 8-10 groups (~40 participants) in the DC Metro Area, with the expectation of launching in early 2027. By pairing the development of worker-owned businesses with guaranteed income, this program aims to generate more successful, sustainable creation of worker-owned businesses led by low-income people.

With an eye for the future, the Senior Manager will also cultivate social movement investment networks and funding streams. Through this work, the Senior Manager will contribute to building a long-term capital ecosystem that supports Muslim, BIPOC, and solidarity economy enterprises seeded out of this program.
